Ten Minutes a Day to Change Your Life
Mar 03, 2019
If you could change your life for the better by dedicating 10 minutes a day to something easy and simple, would you do it? If 10 minutes of action per day could help improve all the social interactions you have for the better AND improve the way your body feels, would you take that action? If allowing yourself the freedom to exchange 10 minutes of waste for 10 minutes of purpose could give you the ability to live your life the way you want to live it, If it could help set you free, would you dare to embrace this freedom?
I really do believe we (Original Strength) can change the world through movement. That’s part of our ever-evolving mission statement. But I also really believe you can change the world (your world and the entire world) through movement as well. And I believe you should because you can and you are able. You can make the world better for all of us by improving the way you move. This makes sense when you think about it because after all, we are all connected. None of us is separate from any of us. It’s never “us” or “them”, “us” versus “them”, or even “us” and “them”, it’s just us. But that’s another thought train...
Anyway, I want to ask you to try a “World Changing” experiment. I want to ask you to purposefully spend 10 minutes every day for 30 days rolling - with the intent to change your life and make it better, thereby making the whole world better along with you. All you have to do is set aside 10 minutes out of your entire day and roll on the floor. And smile while you do it; not the whole time, but at least half the time.
How you roll is your business. You can roll the same way every day, or you can roll in several different ways every different minute or every different day. You can roll curiously, cautiously, slowly, or however you want as long as you roll intently. Be intent on rolling for the purpose of feeling good and improving your life.
If you need help with rolling, or you just need direction, pick different rolls from this rolling playlist.
Spend 2 minutes on 5 different rolls or pick 2 rolls and alternate back and forth between them every 2 minutes. When in doubt, egg rolls and windshield wipers are golden. Again, you can always just roll in the ways you like to roll. Remember, when rolling from the upper body, eyes lead the head and the head leads the body.
10 minutes of rolling paired with at least 5 minutes of smiling while you roll every day for 30 days. With intent.
What can you expect along the way? Goodness, in the form of:
- Reduced stress and anxiousness
- Better mobility and less stiffness
- Happy and lightened mood
- More strength
- Better posture
- Easier to move
- Better conversations with others
If I could simply sum up the expectations I hope you discover it would be you’ll feel good and make others around you feel good too. And that, my friends, is a very simple way to change your life and change the world; give yourself 10 minutes to roll with intent.
I know this is easier to dismiss than it is to actually do, and it sounds crazy. But silly, simple, crazy things are what change the world the most. But you can test this for yourself. All you have to do is be curious and explore what might happen if you accept this challenge. The very worst thing that could happen is you miss 10 minutes of Netflix. But what’s the best thing that could happen? What if you learn something about your body? What if you learn something about yourself? What if you learn?
Can rolling for 10 minutes every day really change YOUR life? If it could, would you do it?

I’m going to give this a shot! I noticed one of the benefits is more strength. As someone who loves lifting weights, how would rolling help my performance?

Rolling ties your torso together, connecting your X, opposite hips To opposite shoulders. It also helps to turn on the improve the reflexive firing of the stabilizers of the spine. Best of all it helps you to move more efficiently and fluidly. I think you’ll like what you discover. Please let us know !
